Description

Manage, configure, and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) servers across development, staging, and production environments.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage home-grown Linux scripts for ongoing operations using Bash and Python.
• Handle user management, permissions, and access control including RBAC and Sudo policies.
• Implement system hardening, least privilege security best practices, and patching based on Dev and Security team guidance.
• Perform system monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting while maintaining documentation for configurations.
• Manage backup and recovery processes at the OS level and collaborate with application development teams on deployment strategies.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of Linux administration and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
• Proficiency in shell scripting (Bash) and Python.
• Experience with AWS infrastructure and networking concepts.
• Ability to work on-call for evenings and weekends to meet business needs.
• 5+ years of relevant work experience.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with AWS Storage services (FSx, EBS, EFS, S3).
• Proficiency with Terraform.
