Description

You will implement and maintain the service platform, LAMP, and J2EE applications across Red Hat and Oracle Enterprise Linux servers running in VMware.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain the high-availability 24/7 J2EE application infrastructure.
  • Manage all infrastructure initiatives involving JBoss, Tomcat, Apache, Monitoring, Oracle, and MySQL.
  • Recommend and implement best practices for highly available LAMP, WebLogic, JBoss, and Tomcat environments.
  • Design, recommend, and implement new solutions for IT operations.
  • Interface with multiple business units to optimize IT operations.

Required Skills

  • 7+ years experience in enterprise IT Systems Engineering.
  • 5+ years experience with Linux / Linux Redhat, CentOS Systems Engineering.
  • Deep understanding of Linux, Virtualization, Server Management, Security, and SAN.
  • Hands-on knowledge of configuration management tools such as Puppet, Salt, or Chef.
  • Experience working in high-availability, high-traffic, consumer-facing environments.
  • Familiarity with LAMP and J2EE application stacks.
  • Server-side scripting skills in perl, python, or shell.
