Description

You will provide Tier 1 engineering support for critical systems in a 24x7 environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage incidents raised by end users using ServiceNow, resolving issues for global hardware and software engineering environments.
• Support and troubleshoot existing Linux and Unix systems to enhance service reliability and performance.
• Perform user maintenance tasks, including password resets, user creation, and file cleanup.
• Execute administrative operations such as setting server security levels and verifying server integrity.

Required Skills

• 2-4 years of relevant industry experience in Linux or Unix environments.
• Experience with Linux distributions including Ubuntu and Redhat.
• Proficiency in using ticket support systems like ServiceNow or Jira.
• Knowledge of supporting enterprise applications within a Linux/Unix environment.
• Familiarity with basic server commands, storage path identification, and network health checks.
• Experience with clustering technologies.
• Analytical and strong communication skills for incident resolution.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with SAN/NAS.
• Familiarity with Batch queuing technologies like LSF.
• Exposure to EDA industry tools like Open Text ETX or E-commander.
