Description

You will design and define end-to-end mainframe architecture aligned with business and enterprise IT strategies, leading modernization and migration initiatives.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical architecture for mainframe-based application development, maintenance, and enhancement.
• Architect and optimize batch and online processing environments for performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning for mainframe systems.
• Review and approve technical designs, coding standards, and best practices.
• Drive modernization, migration, and integration initiatives involving legacy mainframe applications.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of experience in enterprise mainframe environments.
• Strong expertise with IBM z/OS architecture and core mainframe technologies.
• Proficiency in COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, and VSAM.
• Hands-on experience with mainframe performance tuning and capacity planning.
• Experience with mainframe modernization, migration, or system integration projects.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, change management, and release processes.
• Ability to analyze complex legacy systems and propose scalable architectural solutions.
• Proven ability to lead technical discussions and influence architectural decisions.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with mainframe-to-cloud or hybrid integration strategies.
• Knowledge of modern DevOps practices applied to mainframe environments.
