Description

You will design, develop, test, debug, and document mainframe applications within large integrated environments. You own the full lifecycle of application development, ensuring strict adherence to enterprise policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mainframe applications in IMS DB/DC Full Function and FASTPATH environments.
• Manage hierarchical database technologies, including IMS DB and VSAM, performing re-organization, unload/reload, and recovery control.
• Execute full lifecycle application development, including design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation.
• Operate within the policies and procedures of a large enterprise organization or public service environment.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in mainframe application design and development.
• 10+ years of hands-on experience with COBOL, JCL, Assembly, TSO/ISPF, BTS, Clist, and REXX within the last 5 years.
• 10+ years of experience with hierarchical database technologies such as IMS DB and VSAM.
• Deep knowledge of MVS, CA Scheduling, MVSS File-Aid, and MVSS Abend-Aid tools.
• Experience using CA Telon and IBM ACB, BDB, and PSB Generation.
• Proficiency with information retrieval packages including CA EasyTrieve and CA SAR.
• Experience with IBM 3270SNA and NDM communications.
• Experience with OPS architecture, applications, databases, and systems.
• Background working with Personal Property Security registration (PPSR) or similar property registration systems.

Preferred Skills

• Additional COBOL development experience.
