Description

You will own the full lifecycle of mainframe application development, from design and coding to testing, debugging, and documentation within large integrated enterprise environments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mainframe applications using IMS DB/DC Full Function and FASTPATH.
• Manage hierarchical database technologies, including IMS DB and VSAM, handling re-organization, unload/reload, and recovery control.
• Execute the full application lifecycle, ensuring strict adherence to enterprise policies and procedures.
• Operate within the constraints of a large enterprise or public service organization.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in mainframe application design and development.
• 10+ years of hands-on experience with COBOL, JCL, Assembly, TSO/ISPF, BTS, Clist, and REXX within the last 5 years.
• 10+ years of experience with hierarchical database technologies such as IMS DB and VSAM.
• Deep knowledge of MVS, CA Scheduling, MVSS File-Aid, and MVSS Abend-Aid tools.
• Experience using CA Telon and IBM ACB, BDB, and PSB Generation.
• Proficiency with information retrieval packages including CA EasyTrieve and CA SAR.
• Experience with IBM 3270SNA and NDM communications.
• Experience with OPS architecture, applications, databases, and systems.
• Background working with Personal Property Security registration (PPSR) or similar property registration systems.
