Description

Senior Mainframe Developer responsible for end-to-end application development, legacy migration, and vulnerability remediation.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high-performing, scalable end-to-end applications using mainframe technologies.
• Migrate legacy systems to distributed environments while ensuring data integrity and performance.
• Remediate security vulnerabilities and apply software security best practices throughout the SDLC.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines, Lean/Agile methodologies, and comprehensive testing techniques.
• Provide on-call support on a weekly rotation and collaborate with Product Owners and technical partners.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of professional experience in COBOL and JCL development.
• Strong proficiency with DB2, VSAM, CICS, and ChangeMan.
• Experience with File Aid/File Manager, DFSORT, Syncsort, and Easytrieve.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership of business requirements, and assess application performance.
• Familiarity with API middleware integration and documentation practices.

Preferred Skills

• Experience applying Lean, Agile, or XP methodologies in a mainframe context.
• Strong analytical capabilities and understanding of software product security.
