Description

You will own the development, migration, and support of high-performing mainframe applications.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain end-to-end applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, and CICS.
• Lead migration efforts from legacy mainframe systems to distributed environments.
• Assess application performance parameters and implement vulnerability remediation.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and technical partners to define and deliver business requirements.
• Provide on-call support on a weekly rotation basis.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of professional experience in mainframe development.
• Proficiency in COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, and CICS.
• Experience with ChangeMan, File Aid/File Manager, DFSORT, Syncsort, and Easytrieve.
• Practical knowledge of API integration through middleware.
• Understanding of SDLC methodologies including Lean, Agile, XP, and CI.
• Ability to write code that meets strict standards for security and scalability.
• Strong analytical capabilities for troubleshooting and performance tuning.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with distributed environment migration strategies.
• Background in Lean or XP methodologies.
