You will design, develop, and maintain mainframe systems and applications in Irving, TX.
Responsibilities
Analyze, design, and develop COBOL, DB2, and CICS programs and COPYBOOKS.
Develop JCLs, PROCs, and SYSIN Control Cards for DB2 Data Unload/Load processes.
Build COBOL CICS interface Gateway Modules to interact with Java and .NET web applications.
Perform performance tuning on long-running application code and complex DB2 SQL.
Manage code promotions from development to UAT and production using Work Bench Tool.
Required Skills
Proficiency in COBOL, DB2, and CICS.
Experience with IDMS and SQL query languages.
Hands-on use of Abend-AID, File-AID, QMF, SPUFI, SYNCSORT, IDCAMS, DB2 PLATINUM, File Master, SYSDUMP, DBOL, DMLO, and IDD.
Experience scheduling Mainframe JCLs using CA7 Scheduler.
Knowledge of debugging mainframe code using the INTERTEST tool.
Experience working within Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
Solid understanding of the SDLC process.
Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or Engineering with 3 years of experience, or a Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 5 years of experience.
