Description

Own the development, migration, and support of legacy mainframe applications to distributed systems.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high-performance COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, and CICS applications.
• Execute migration of legacy code to distributed architectures using ChangeMan and file management tools.
• Apply SDLC, Agile, and CI practices to ensure code quality, security, and scalability.
• Manage API integration via middleware and perform vulnerability remediation.
• Provide weekly on-call support and collaborate with Product Owners on business requirements.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with COBOL, JCL, DB2, and CICS.
• Proficiency in VSAM, DFSORT, Syncsort, and Easytrieve.
• Hands-on experience with ChangeMan, File Aid, and File Manager.
• Understanding of API middleware integration and vulnerability remediation.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of technical deliverables.
• Experience collaborating with Product Owners and technical partners.
• Strong analytical capabilities and understanding of application performance parameters.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Lean/XP methodologies and software product security.
• Background in migrating monolithic systems to distributed microservices.
