Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, and related technologies.

Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Support production applications, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis.

Develop and execute unit and integration testing for new enhancements and bug fixes.

Work closely with business analysts, architects, QA teams, and stakeholders throughout the SDLC.

Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding and quality standards. Support application modernization and integration initiatives involving distributed systems.

Prepare technical documentation, design specifications, and deployment plans.

Required Skills

7-10 years of Mainframe development experience.

Strong expertise in: COBOL JCL DB2 CICS VSAM IBM Mainframe technologies Experience with batch processing and online transaction systems.

Strong debugging, performance tuning, and production support experience.

Knowledge of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and DevOps practices.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills Healthcare or Insurance domain experience. Experience with Endevor, Changeman, File-AID, or similar tools
