Description

You will develop, maintain, and optimize scalable application solutions on the mainframe, leading an interactive team through the full application lifecycle.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of mainframe applications within a structured SDLC framework.
• Perform performance tuning and capacity planning to reduce I/O, CPU time, MSUs, and MIPs.
• Manage version control, debugging, and unit testing throughout the application lifecycle.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions using critical thinking.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in mainframe application development, automation, and support.
• Expertise in COBOL, CICS, DB2, JCL, VSAM, MQ-Series, SQL, and Control-M.
• Experience with mainframe performance tools: Strobe, iStrobe, and Platinum Detector.
• Proficiency in file comparison using File-AID and version management using Endeavor.
• Strong understanding of structured SDLC processes (Analysis, Design, Development, Testing, Production).
• 7+ years of application development experience, preferably in Financial Services or Wealth Management.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Experience leading interactive teams in a mainframe environment.
• Background in Financial Services or Wealth Management.
