Description

You will own mainframe infrastructure operations, system-level tuning, and capacity planning.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Manage mainframe networking protocols including TCP/IP, VTAM, and LU/PU.
• Perform system-level tuning and maintenance using RMF and WLM.
• Execute performance and capacity reporting and planning using zPCA, WLM, and OMEGAMON.
• Handle BMC MainView installation and customization tasks.
• Configure and maintain z/OS environments, including Sysplex, SMP/E, and IOCP/HCD.

Required Skills

• 5-10 years of mainframe systems engineering experience.
• Deep expertise in Mainframe Networking (TCP/IP, VTAM, LU/PU).
• Strong knowledge of z/OS and SMP/E.
• Experience with Sysplex, IOCP, and HCD.
• Proficiency in performance monitoring using RMF, WLM, and OMEGAMON.
• Hands-on experience with zPCA and capacity planning.
• Ability to manage BMC MainView installations.
