Description

You will act as the principal architect for IBM and third-party software products, providing technical leadership for mainframe systems and software services.

Responsibilities

• Maintain VTAM and TCP/IP subsystems within z/OS 2.4 and JES2 environments.
• Install, maintain, and migrate software using IBM SMP/E and IEBCOPY.
• Implement and verify backup, recovery, and Disaster Recovery procedures.
• Monitor system software access, performance, and resource utilization to recommend optimizations.
• Provide technical guidance to developers on software management, deployment strategies, and application tuning.

Required Skills

• 20+ years of experience in mainframe software management, specifically with VTAM and TCP/IP subsystems.
• Expertise in OSA Adapters, IP, VTAM, and SSL/TLS traces.
• Deep knowledge of FTPS, SFTP, AT/TLS, VVP, JQP, MFT, and EntireX.
• Proficiency with CL Super Session, TN3270, and Enterprise Extender.
• Experience with TSO, ISPF, SDSF, and IPTR.
• Ability to write, read, and debug programs in batch and online environments.
• Skill in writing software exit programs and utilizing mainframe JCL and utilities.
• Hands-on experience with z/OS, JES2, Db2, CICS, and FTPs/SFTP/AT/TLS.

Preferred Skills

• Experience supporting 24/7/365 operations, including on-call requirements.
• Knowledge of managing software use and security authorization policies.
