Description

You will manage mainframe storage systems to ensure performance, reliability, and availability meet service level agreements.

Responsibilities

• Manage system performance and availability to meet defined service level agreements.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive disaster recovery plans for all managed systems.
• Design and execute rollouts for system enhancements and upgrades.
• Automate processes using VMWare automation tools.
• Create technical documentation, standards, and SOPs for supported systems.
• Coordinate with Service Center and Network Control Center for problem escalation and resolution.

Required Skills

• 8-12 years of relevant mainframe storage experience.
• Hands-on experience with GDPS, Global Mirror, Metro Mirror, and HiperSwap.
• Expertise with HiperDispatch (HCD) in large-scale enterprise environments with multiple CECs.
• Experience installing and configuring IBM Mainframes, Virtual Tape systems, and DS8000 DASD.
• Proficiency with Brocade SAN equipment and Brocade Network Advisor.
• Knowledge of dataset structures including PDS, PDSE, GDG, and VSAM.
• Experience administering DFSMS policies and constructs.
• Knowledge of IBM FlashCopy, FDR/ABR, and DFSS.
• Experience with CA1 Tape Management Software.
• Coding proficiency in Assembler, Automation, GDPS, Rexx, and CLISt.
• Experience with security tools including RACF and ACF2.
• Performance monitoring expertise using OmegaMon, RMF, SMF, and SAS.
