Description

Architect and manage mainframe storage environments, data replication strategies, and disaster recovery plans for z/OS and z/VM systems.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Configure DASD storage availability, SMS constructs, and ACS routines.
• Monitor and enhance storage, backups, and data replication across Sysplexes.
• Execute catalog and control data set reorganizations, volume recoveries, and capacity management.
• Manage Hierarchical Storage Management (HSM) parameter libraries and management class constructs.
• Provide 24x7x365 support and manage service requests via SNOW.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience with z/OS and z/VM architectures.
• Deep expertise in DASD and mainframe storage management.
• Proficiency with DFSMS, SMP/E, JEs/EJES, and JES3.
• Hands-on experience with TSO/ISPF for data file editing.
• Technical knowledge of IBM TS7700 series, EMC, and VMAX hardware.
• Experience with replication software, SAS, SMF, and RMF research.
• Strong background in capacity management and VTAM.
• Experience working with JCL and MS Teams.

Preferred Skills

• Experience managing complex disaster recovery plans and high-availability environments.
