Description

Lead strategic and tactical quality initiatives to ensure compliance with industry standards and drive continuous improvement across the product lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee Quality Engineering and Inspection functions to ensure adherence to company procedures, government standards, and industry methodologies.
  • Collaborate with Program Leadership, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain to align quality practices from design reviews through production transitions.
  • Lead compliance efforts for AS9100, CMMI, and other required certifications.
  • Monitor quality metrics, such as Cost of Poor Quality, to implement strategies for improving yield and reducing rework.
  • Manage Work Package Descriptions for quality tasks within proposals and active contracts.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, or Software Engineering, or an equivalent technical field.
  • Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience, or 10 years with a graduate degree.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Quality management or operations leadership.
  • Proven ability to drive cross-functional collaboration and lead teams.
  • U.S. citizenship required for security clearance eligibility.
  • Experience maintaining quality records and ensuring data integrity for reporting.
  • Proficiency with Agile Oracle, Windchill, or Cincom.

Preferred Skills

  • Greenbelt or Blackbelt certification with experience leading improvement projects.
  • Knowledge of J-STD, IPC standards, and configuration control management.
  • ASQ certification and experience managing AS9100-certified businesses.
