Lead strategic and tactical quality initiatives to ensure compliance with industry standards and drive continuous improvement across the product lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Oversee Quality Engineering and Inspection functions to ensure adherence to company procedures, government standards, and industry methodologies.
- Collaborate with Program Leadership, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain to align quality practices from design reviews through production transitions.
- Lead compliance efforts for AS9100, CMMI, and other required certifications.
- Monitor quality metrics, such as Cost of Poor Quality, to implement strategies for improving yield and reducing rework.
- Manage Work Package Descriptions for quality tasks within proposals and active contracts.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, or Software Engineering, or an equivalent technical field.
- Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience, or 10 years with a graduate degree.
- At least 5 years of experience in Quality management or operations leadership.
- Proven ability to drive cross-functional collaboration and lead teams.
- U.S. citizenship required for security clearance eligibility.
- Experience maintaining quality records and ensuring data integrity for reporting.
- Proficiency with Agile Oracle, Windchill, or Cincom.
Preferred Skills
- Greenbelt or Blackbelt certification with experience leading improvement projects.
- Knowledge of J-STD, IPC standards, and configuration control management.
- ASQ certification and experience managing AS9100-certified businesses.
