Description

You will lead end-to-end validation for OTA updates, Windows client applications, and compatibility across diverse ecosystems.

Responsibilities

• Execute OTA testing for upgrade, downgrade, and rollback scenarios, ensuring data integrity and system stability.
• Design and maintain compatibility test matrices for OS versions and device configurations, resolving environment-specific defects.
• Perform in-depth functional and regression testing on Windows desktop applications using tools like Event Viewer and Task Manager.
• Lead defect triaging in JIRA/Azure DevOps and provide detailed quality metrics to stakeholders.
• Mentor junior testers and drive QA process improvements and standardization.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in Manual Testing with a strong grasp of STLC and QA methodologies.
• Proven expertise in OTA validation for firmware and software updates.
• Strong background in Windows client/desktop application testing and debugging.
• Proficiency in compatibility testing across multiple OS versions and device types.
• Experience with defect tracking tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, or Bugzilla.
• Ability to analyze logs and troubleshoot complex failures in collaboration with development teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with embedded systems or firmware testing.
• Knowledge of networking concepts (Wi-Fi, TCP/IP) relevant to OTA scenarios.
• Exposure to automation tools like Selenium or CI/CD pipelines.
