Description

You will lead the mechanical design, build, and debugging of handling and process equipment.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and draft detailed mechanical components for manufacturing and process equipment using SolidWorks.
• Manage the full equipment lifecycle from initial design and vendor coordination to site installation and start-up.
• Execute hands-on troubleshooting and debugging of machinery at factory sites.
• Verify equipment builds and layouts against technical drawings to ensure accuracy.
• Coordinate installation plans with safety teams, plant receivers, and project managers.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in mechanical equipment design.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks for mechanical design and drafting.
• Competency in structural FEA analysis.
• Experience designing, installing, and debugging equipment within manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of machine guarding and safety standards, including OSHA.
• Ability to manage mechanical and electrical trades during equipment installation.
• Strong background in mechanics, hydraulics, thermodynamics, metallurgy, or machine design.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in automation design, shipbuilding, or aerospace environments.
