Description

Responsibilities:

• Design, analyze, prototype, and test mechanical systems and hardware.
• Translate product requirements into practical technical solutions.
• Lead development of mechanical systems/subsystems through integration and production.
• Collaborate with industrial design, electrical, firmware, software, and mechanical engineering teams.
• Work with suppliers to develop manufacturable, cost-effective components and assemblies.
• Develop and execute testing to validate performance, reliability, and quality.
• Participate in design reviews and proactively identify and communicate technical risks.

Requirements:

• BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong experience designing systems integrating mechanical and electrical components.
• Advanced SOLIDWORKS skills or similar CAD tools such as NX or CATIA, including complex assemblies and detailed drawings.
• Experience with manufacturing processes such as molding, stamping, and casting.
• Experience taking products from design/prototype through mass production.
• Strong hands-on prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with GD&T, FEA, MATLAB, MathCAD, and data acquisition/testing tools.
• Strong systems thinking, tradeoff analysis, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
