Description

You will own the mechanical system design from concept through detailed implementation.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical components from initial concept based on project requirements.
• Provide technical input and system modification for integration across different project disciplines.
• Manage vendor scope to verify safety, functionality, and contract compliance.
• Conduct technical risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies for mechanical systems.
• Develop comprehensive documentation, including operational descriptions and system test plans.

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in mechanical engineering roles.
• 3+ years of experience in mechanical design from scratch or major modifications (50+% redesign).
• Proficiency in 3D modeling software, preferably SolidWorks.
• Ability to perform system analysis (Stress, fatigue, reliability, life expectancy, tolerance studies).
• Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic system design and troubleshooting.
• Experience with GD&T for large-scale or high-duty cycle systems.
• Familiarity with contract documents and specifications.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Office environments.
