You will own the mechanical design of new modules and chassis for high-density networking hardware.
Responsibilities
Implement designs using Creo 3D CAD and provide all necessary drawings, critical-to-function dimensions, and 3D files for prototyping and manufacturing.
Structure bill of materials (BOM), release, and manage product changes using Agile PLM tools.
Collaborate with electrical engineers and PCB layout teams to address component placement and verify final PCB designs.
Work with contract manufacturers and suppliers to resolve DFM concerns and troubleshoot production issues.
Validate prototypes in the lab against 3D MCAD designs and debug mechanical issues.
Required Skills
7+ years of experience in mechanical engineering.
Proficiency with PTC Creo for 3D CAD modeling.
Experience managing ECO, BOM, and Deviation processes.
Expertise in Agile product lifecycle management tools.
Experience designing sheet metal parts using soft and hard tooling guidelines.
Experience with plastic part design for both cosmetic and non-cosmetic applications.
Ability to manage technical documentation, tolerances, and design reviews.
Preferred Skills
Mechanical design experience for computer or network equipment in data center environments.
Experience with thermal simulation, air flow testing, or liquid cooling systems.
Familiarity with PTC Creo Simulate, PDMLink (Windchill), and hands-on testing for shock, vibe, and EMC.
