Description

You will lead mechanical engineering projects from initial design and fabrication through implementation, testing, and daily operation.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Own the safety design process, including risk assessment, mitigation, dynamic safety testing, and system validation.
• Manage full project lifecycles by developing scope, budgets, justifications, and procurement through RFQs and SAP.
• Design, plan, fabricate, and install pneumatic, hydraulic, and conveying systems using 3D CAD drawings.
• Lead hardware assembly, fabrication, checkout, and commissioning of mechanical systems.
• Drive reliability improvements and RAK reduction while providing technical oversight for contractor workmanship.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience in manufacturing (Automotive, Steel, Textile, or Pulp & Paper).
• Proficiency in CAD for creating 3D design drawings and technical documentation.
• Experience with Risk Assessment and Risk Mitigation protocols.
• Expertise in Dynamic Safety Testing and validation of safety systems.
• Demonstrated ability to manage project scope, budgets, and feasibility studies.
• Skills in designing and installing pneumatic, hydraulic, and conveying systems.
• Ability to develop Bill of Materials and manage vendor procurement.
• Experience leading Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and system commissioning.

Preferred Skills

• Conversational knowledge of PLC.
• PMP Certification.
• Six Sigma Black or Green Belt.
