Description

You will assign CPT procedure codes, ICD-10 diagnosis codes, and modifiers for outpatient facilities. You will ensure coding accuracy by applying LCD, NCD, and NCCI policies.

Responsibilities

• Code SDS and Special Procedures by reviewing medical record documentation and encounter forms.
• Apply LCD, NCD, and NCCI policies to ensure coding accuracy and compliance.
• Review medical records to ensure compliance with teaching physician documentation requirements.
• Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders regarding coding queries.

Required Skills

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in SDS.
• Active CPC or CCS certification required upon joining.
• Working experience in all Surgery procedures (10000-69990 CPT series).
• Knowledge of Cardiac catheterization using 9xxxx series codes.
• Proficiency with EPIC and 3M systems.
• Solid understanding of medical terminology and anatomy.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Degree in Science or any graduate level education.
