Description

You will own the development and maintenance of core business applications using Microfocus COBOL.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and support web services, batch processing, and core business applications.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts and perform root cause analysis.
• Design, develop, test, and deploy system enhancements.
• Support data extraction, reporting, and production maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with UI (.NET – VB.NET, C#) and database (Oracle, SQL Server) teams.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of development experience with Microfocus Visual COBOL (Batch & IIS environments).
• 4+ years of experience using Visual Studio (2019/2022) including debugging.
• 4+ years of application development experience with Oracle and/or SQL Server.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT or related discipline with 8+ years of experience OR 10+ years of relevant professional experience in lieu of degree.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Experience with Microfocus Visual Cobol.
• Experience with Oracle.
• Experience with Ms Sql.
• Experience with Visual Studio.

Preferred Skills

• Strong SQL query development skills (Oracle & MS SQL).
• Knowledge of C# and .NET technologies.
