Description

You will manage, optimize, and secure MongoDB database infrastructure in production environments. You own the health, performance, and security of the database layer.

Responsibilities

• Administer MongoDB databases to ensure high availability and performance.
• Optimize database performance through indexing, query optimization, and tuning.
• Design and implement data replication, backup, and recovery strategies.
• Deploy and configure databases using Ansible and Terraform.
• Troubleshoot complex database issues and collaborate on schema design.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with MongoDB administration in production environments.
• Expertise in performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization.
• Knowledge of data replication, backup, and recovery strategies.
• Proficiency in MongoDB security, user access control, and encryption.
• Experience with automation tools including Ansible and Terraform.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, or MongoDB Ops Manager.
• Understanding of MongoDB data modeling and schema design.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code.

Preferred Skills

• MongoDB Certification (e.g., MongoDB Certified DBA).
• Experience with NoSQL databases like Cassandra or Redis.
• Knowledge of AWS and cloud database management.
