Description

You will manage and optimize MS SQL Server environments to ensure data availability and performance.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Administer MS SQL Server databases (2012–2019) including setup, monitoring, upgrades, and migrations.
• Implement and support High Availability solutions such as AlwaysOn, FCI, Log Shipping, and Replication.
• Perform performance tuning through query optimization, indexing, and statistics management.
• Manage backup and recovery strategies, including DR drills, failover testing, and capacity planning.
• Automate repetitive tasks using PowerShell or Shell scripting.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in SQL Server administration.
• Hands-on expertise with SQL Server 2012, 2014, 2016, and 2019.
• Deep knowledge of AlwaysOn, clustering, log shipping, and failover planning.
• Proficiency in T-SQL, performance tuning, SQL Profiler, and DMVs.
• Experience with PowerShell and Shell scripting for automation.
• Knowledge of Windows Server administration and security practices.
• Experience using SSMS, ServiceNow, and SolarWinds or AppDynamics.

Preferred Skills

• Ability to collaborate with developers on query tuning and schema refinement.
