Senior MSSQL DBA

You will manage, optimize, and support enterprise-level SQL Server environments with a primary focus on Microsoft SQL Server Administration.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and upgrade SQL Server (2016/2019/2022) on Windows and Linux, including Azure SQL Database and Managed Instances.
• Implement and maintain High Availability and Disaster Recovery solutions using Always On Availability Groups, Failover Cluster Instances, log shipping, and database mirroring.
• Monitor and tune performance using DMVs, Extended Events, Query Store, and execution plan analysis, including indexing strategies and statistics updates.
• Design and execute backup and recovery strategies, ensuring RTO/RPO compliance through full, differential, and transaction log backups.
• Develop T-SQL and PowerShell automation scripts for deployments, monitoring, alerting, and database refresh processes.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of MSSQL DBA experience with strong expertise in SQL Server 2016/2019/2022.
• Advanced performance tuning and troubleshooting skills using DMVs, Extended Events, and Query Store.
• Hands-on experience with Always On, Clustering, Log Shipping, and Azure SQL platforms.
• Proficiency in T-SQL and PowerShell scripting for automation and administration.
• Experience with SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS deployment and management.
• Working knowledge of Oracle (11g/12c/19c) and PostgreSQL (v12+) administration.
• Ability to manage ETL processes and support application migrations.
• Strong documentation and communication skills with experience in 24/7 on-call production support.

Preferred Skills

• MySQL exposure and Oracle E-Business Suite Application DBA knowledge.
• Experience with cloud database migrations and DevOps integration.
