Description

Manage production MySQL environments through performance tuning, security enforcement, and end-to-end technical support.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement backup processes using Percona Xtrabackup and execute disaster recovery procedures for corrupted databases.
• Optimize database performance by calculating parameter values, tuning storage engines, and recommending hardware or configuration improvements.
• Manage user access, security levels, and compliance with vendor license agreements.
• Handle installations, upgrades, and capacity planning for database servers and system storage.
• Analyze system requirements and design proposed structures, including physical architecture and recovery specifications.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in MySQL database administration.
• Expertise in MySQL disaster recovery and backup procedures.
• Proficiency with Linux operating systems.
• Strong knowledge of MySQL underlying storage engines and performance tuning.
• Experience with database management, data maintenance, and data recovery.
• Ability to resolve complex escalation issues and provide production support.
• Competency in implementing hosted, enterprise, and appliance models.
• Knowledge of Oracle 11g or higher.
