Description

You will manage and optimize MySQL, PXC clusters, and ProxySQL databases for performance, availability, and security.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Lead cloud migrations across AWS, Azure, and GCP platforms.
• Automate provisioning, monitoring, and tuning using Shell, SQL, and Python.
• Build and maintain Grafana/PMM dashboards for operational visibility.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and lead war rooms during critical incidents, conducting RCAs.
• Partner with application teams on query optimization and schema design.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience as a MySQL DBA with operational and leadership background.
• Expertise with MySQL, ProxySQL, and Percona XtraDB Cluster (PXC).
• Hands-on experience with clustering, migrations, scripting, monitoring, and RCA.
• Strong knowledge of AWS, Azure, and GCP cloud platforms.
• Proficiency in Shell, SQL, and Python scripting.
• Strong understanding of database security best practices and compliance.
