Description

Design, develop, and maintain complex software applications within the Microsoft .NET ecosystem, providing front-line end-user support and collaborating with architects and database teams.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Design and build complex applications using C#, ASP.NET Web Forms/MVC (Framework 4.8), and ASP.NET MVC 5.
• Model relational databases, create schemas, and optimize queries in an enterprise Oracle 19c environment.
• Implement secure API integrations, authentication flows (OAuth2/OIDC), and robust error handling patterns.
• Develop responsive frontend interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES5/6) adhering to WCAG 2.1 standards.
• Maintain current applications and support existing systems across the State of Michigan environment.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of hands-on .NET development experience with C# and ASP.NET.
• 6+ years of database engineering expertise, specifically with Oracle 19c, SQL, and PL/SQL.
• Proficiency with Toad/OSD for database management and optimization.
• 6+ years of frontend development experience with HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
• 4+ years of experience designing backend services and secure API integrations.
• Strong understanding of authentication mechanisms and authorization flows.
• Ability to manage roles, security, and data quality in enterprise environments.

Preferred Skills

• Experience creating custom .NET libraries, reusable components, or integration connectors.
• Familiarity with ASP.NET Core, dependency injection, and Blazor.
• Experience using PowerShell for automation tasks.
