Description

Lead the cloud-native modernization of a legacy Workers’ Compensation policy administration platform on Microsoft Azure.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Own solution direction and architecture decisions for the platform rewrite.
• Guide an onshore/offshore team through the migration of complex insurance rating logic.
• Design and build scalable, maintainable cloud services using modern architecture patterns.
• Account for technical delivery and architectural integrity of the entire platform.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with architect or tech lead responsibilities.
• Strong, hands-on expertise in C# and .NET Core 8.
• Deep experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services and deployment patterns.
• Proficiency in designing and developing backend APIs using Microservices architecture.
• Proven ability to reverse engineer and refactor legacy codebases.
• Solid understanding of SQL and data access patterns.
• Domain knowledge of insurance policy administration concepts.
• Experience leading distributed, mixed onshore/offshore engineering teams.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with legacy system modernization projects.
