Description

You will develop, enhance, and integrate Windows and web-based .NET applications for state-level agency systems.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software solutions based on project management requirements.
• Design, develop, and unit test complex engineering solutions.
• Optimize SQL Server performance and troubleshoot database blocking or deadlocks.
• Perform production support activities and resolve system issues.
• Reconcile current business requirements with modern information technology standards.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in software design, development, and unit testing.
• Proficiency with .NET 6 & 8, .NET MVC, and Razor Pages.
• Experience with .NET Entity Framework and .NET Web API.
• Strong SQL Server skills (2016+) including complex queries, outer, self, and recursive joins.
• Ability to perform SQL Server performance tuning using Query Execution Plans and index analysis.
• Experience with Azure Authentication (Microsoft Entra) and Azure DevOps.
• Knowledge of IIS (8.5 and up), SSIS, and SSRS.
• Frontend experience with Bootstrap and jQuery.
• Practical understanding of OOP design patterns and messaging APIs like Service Broker or SignalR.

Preferred Skills

• Experience converting legacy VB6 applications to .NET.
