Description

You will maintain and enhance mission-critical internal applications including the Student Assignment System (SAS) and the Safety and Security Incident Reporting System (SSIRS).

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily operational support, bug fixes, and minor feature enhancements for SAS and SSIRS.
• Manage source control via SVN and configure TeamCity projects for deployment.
• Develop and maintain SSIRS reports and support annual school year transition processes.
• Contribute to SAS replacement strategies, including RFP documentation, data migration planning, and system archival.
• Maintain technical and functional documentation while participating in code reviews and team meetings.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience in .NET development.
• Expertise in C#, ASP.NET, MVC, WCF, and Web Services.
• Proficiency with IIS 10.0+, .NET Framework, and .NET Core.
• Strong SQL skills including queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning via Entity Framework.
• Experience with SSRS for report development.
• Hands-on experience with SVN, Git, or TFS for source control.
• Proven ability to maintain and enhance legacy systems on Windows Server 2019.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and SDLC knowledge.
• Ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with JavaScript, jQuery, React, or Angular.
• Experience in regulated environments such as education or government.
• Knowledge of ETL tools and CI/CD pipelines.
