Description

You will manage, optimize, and automate the enterprise monitoring infrastructure using IBM Netcool and related tools.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Administer monitoring applications and servers, handling troubleshooting, optimization, and upgrades.
• Design and implement automation solutions to improve operational efficiency across the monitoring stack.
• Evaluate application alignment with IT strategies and architectural standards.
• Maintain accurate inventory and disposition status for the IT technology portfolio.
• Provide occasional off-hours support for critical monitoring tools.

Required Skills

• 10+ years administering fault and performance monitoring applications.
• Extensive experience with IBM Netcool/NOI components: Impact, Web GUI, Probes, Object Servers, and gateways.
• Proficiency in NOI event and scope-based correlation development.
• 5+ years systems administration on Linux and Windows.
• Experience with SNMP, ICMP, syslog, MIBs, and webhooks.
• Strong scripting skills in Python and Perl.
• Hands-on network troubleshooting with TCP/IP, HTTP, and ICMP.
• Ability to write SQL queries and work with databases.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with IBM Cloud Pak for AIOps.
• Understanding of SOAP/REST web services.
• Experience supporting monitoring for large enterprise networks with business-critical applications.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and relevant experience.
