Description

Lead the architecture, design, and optimization of telecommunications and signal processing systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and troubleshoot HFC and PON access network architectures, including CAA and DAA.
• Develop system requirement documents, design documents, migration strategies, and strategic roadmaps.
• Collaborate with technical operations, design, and testing teams to ensure system configuration accuracy.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to regional personnel and technical staff.
• Represent the organization in Cablelabs and SCTE standards bodies.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in the network space.
• 3+ years of experience with DOCSIS (including 3.1 and 4.0 specifications).
• 3+ years of experience with PON (Passive Optical Networks).
• Deep knowledge of DOCSIS PHY, MULPI, and Remote PHY (RPHY).
• Expertise in HFC and PON access system architecture and troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, the OSI Model, and Ethernet.
• Proficiency in Switching, Routing, and Transport technologies.
• Working knowledge of IEEE, ANSI, and Fiber (Multi-mode, Single-mode, UTP) standards.
• Experience using network design software such as Visio.

Preferred Skills

• Track record of innovation through published technical papers or granted patents.
