Description

You will own operational resiliency and technical troubleshooting for the IP Transport domain in a Service Provider environment.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Lead troubleshooting bridges with internal teams and vendors during escalated incidents or service degradations.
• Perform root-cause analysis for network failures and develop corrective actions, including configuration changes and new procedures.
• Coordinate with transport fiber providers to ensure the quickest path to network restoration.
• Develop key metrics for performance monitoring and service assurance to improve uptime.
• Document troubleshooting methods and contribute to process improvements through automation.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in the Transport domain supporting a major operator or vendor.
• Subject matter expertise in routing protocols: BGP, EIGRP, and OSPF.
• Hands-on experience with ACL, HSRP, VRRP, SNMP, and DHCP.
• Proficiency with Linux and Python for scripting and automation.
• Experience managing network components in AWS environments.
• Strong understanding of VRFs, VLANs, LACP, MLAG, and IPsec VPN.
• Cisco CCNP certification is required.

Preferred Skills

• Cisco CCIE level certification.
• Experience with Nokia multi-vendor environments.
• Knowledge of Segment Routing, Underlay/Overlay architectures, and ISIS.
