Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer with an active or recently obtained CCIE certification to join a large-scale enterprise network operations team supporting a mission-critical healthcare environment.

This role requires a seasoned Cisco networking expert with deep experience designing, implementing, troubleshooting, and supporting complex enterprise network infrastructures. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience across routing, switching, software-defined networking (SDA), wireless, security, and data center technologies within large, always-on environments.

The successful candidate will serve as a senior escalation point for critical network incidents, lead troubleshooting efforts during major outages, and provide technical leadership across the enterprise network landscape.

 

Required Qualifications

Certifications

  • CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure (Required)
  • CCNP Enterprise considered only if extensive equivalent experience exists
  • Additional Cisco Security or Data Center certifications preferred

Experience

  • 10+ years of enterprise networking experience
  • Experience supporting large-scale Cisco enterprise environments
  • Proven experience providing operational ownership in production environments
  • Experience supporting 24x7 mission-critical infrastructure
  • Strong incident management and root cause analysis experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a senior escalation point for enterprise network incidents and outages.
  • Troubleshoot complex networking issues across campus, wireless, security, and data center environments.
  • Lead resolution efforts during Priority 1 (P1) incidents.
  • Partner with infrastructure, security, cloud, and application teams to maintain service availability.
  • Perform root cause analysis and drive preventative improvements.
  • Support Cisco SDA, ISE, Catalyst Center, Wireless, Nexus, and firewall environments.
  • Participate in on-call rotations supporting a 24x7 healthcare operation.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers.
  • Develop and maintain network documentation and operational procedures.
  • Present technical findings and outage communications to leadership when necessary.
