Description

Architect and maintain a large, multi-agency network infrastructure with strict security, fault tolerance, and latency requirements.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain network infrastructure across rack, data center, and transport layers.
• Implement and troubleshoot complex networking challenges driven by evolving mission demands.
• Configure and manage core routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP) and VPNs (MPLS/VXLAN).
• Ensure network security by configuring firewalls and Access Control Lists (ACLs).

Required Skills

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in network engineering, design, implementation, and maintenance.
• Proficiency with core network protocols: TCP/IP, IPv4, UDP (and multicast), TLS, VPLS, and GRE.
• Experience configuring OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP in LAN/WAN environments.
• Working knowledge of Ethernet over BGP/VXLAN or MPLS/VXLAN Multicast, STP, and VLANs.
• Familiarity with network security controls, including Firewall configuration and ACL implementation.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Bash or Python.
• Knowledge of Linux or BSD networking and system administration.

Preferred Skills

• Experience designing and building network environments, not just NOC monitoring.
