Good to Have Skills: Experience with Cisco, Meraki, Palo Alto, and Fortinet platforms. Knowledge of SD-WAN, SASE, ZTNA, and modern remote access patterns. Cloud networking and hybrid connectivity experience across AWS and other public cloud platforms. Familiarity with automation or infrastructure-as-code approaches. Experience in traffic analysis, network visualization, and phased deployment planning. Authentication technologies such as 802.1x, NAC, RADIUS, and EAP-TLS.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Lead network architecture and modernization initiatives across campus, branch, datacenter, internet edge, remote access, and hybrid cloud connectivity environments.
- Act as the technical lead for VPN strategy and transformation, including modernization of remote access models and alignment with next-generation firewall capabilities.
- Drive network segmentation initiatives to improve security posture, limit lateral movement, and establish risk-based trust zones without disrupting business operations.
- Partner with cybersecurity, application teams, server owners, and change management teams to design, test, and implement network changes in controlled manner.
- Provide technical leadership across routing, switching, DNS, DHCP, wireless, firewalling, authentication, and access control domains.
- Support the evolution of enterprise and cloud networking patterns, including hybrid connectivity, governance, scalability, and performance optimization.
- Act as a senior escalation point for complex network incidents, chronic issues, and cross-functional troubleshooting involving support and engineering teams.
- Create and maintain network diagrams, traffic flow maps, standards, SOPs, and implementation documentation for enterprise network environment.
- Use traffic analysis, telemetry, firewall logs, and network data sources to identify bottlenecks, reduce risk, and improve performance.
- Mentor other engineers, influence technical direction, and help establish best practices that balance product agility with enterprise reliability.
Experience Required: 12+ years of hands-on experience in network engineering, network architecture, and production support in medium to large enterprise environments. Proven experience operating as a technical lead or senior engineer across both project delivery and business-as-usual support models. Prior experience working in both product-oriented organizations and support/service-oriented organizations
