Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Network Engineer to join our team for an onsite freelance opportunity in Jakarta, Indonesia. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, deploying, maintaining and troubleshooting enterprise network infrastructure across LAN, WAN, WLAN and Data Center environments.

The role requires strong hands-on experience with Cisco networking, routing and switching, F5 Load Balancers, WAF and network security technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Design, deploy and maintain enterprise LAN, WAN, WLAN and Data Center network infrastructure.

Configure, manage and troubleshoot routing and switching technologies including BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLANs, STP and MPLS.

Manage and support Cisco routers, switches, wireless controllers and access points.

Administer, configure and optimize F5 Load Balancers, including LTM and GTM/DNS.

Implement, manage and troubleshoot Web Application Firewalls (WAF) and network security solutions.

Monitor network performance, capacity, availability and security.

Proactively identify and resolve network performance and connectivity issues.

Support network upgrades, migrations and technology refresh projects.

Develop and maintain network architecture, diagrams, operational procedures and technical documentation.

Collaborate with Infrastructure, Security, Cloud and Application teams to ensure seamless service delivery.

Provide Level 2/Level 3 technical support for network-related incidents and service requests.

Participate in incident, problem and change management processes.

Perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.

Ensure network infrastructure meets availability, performance and security requirements.

Required Skills & Experience

Strong enterprise networking experience.

Hands-on experience with Cisco networking technologies.

Strong knowledge of routing and switching.

Practical experience with BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLAN, STP and MPLS.

Experience supporting Cisco routers, switches and wireless infrastructure.

Strong hands-on experience with F5 LTM and GTM/DNS.

Experience with WAF and network security solutions.

Strong network monitoring, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Experience with network upgrades, migrations and infrastructure refresh projects.

Good understanding of Data Center networking.

Experience providing L2/L3 network support.

Strong technical documentation and communication skills.

Ability to work effectively with cross-functional technical teams.

Comfortable working onsite in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Available for an initial 6-month freelance/B2B contract.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Networking or a related field.

Cisco certifications such as CCNA/CCNP or equivalent are an advantage.

Relevant experience in enterprise or Data Center network environments is highly desirable.
