Description

Own the stability, security, and performance of the network infrastructure. Manage Layer 2/3 protocols, routers, and switches. Monitor connectivity across campus, backbone, and third-party networks. Optimize architecture for failover, reliability, and throughput. Implement security measures, access controls, segmentation, and disaster recovery plans. Create monitoring dashboards using SolarWinds. Deploy patches to network equipment. Support Cloud architecture design and assist with cybersecurity forensic analysis. Maintain network diagrams and change control documentation.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Manage Layer 2 and Layer 3 routing protocols and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
• Monitor network activity and mitigate performance problems across all network segments.
• Implement network security measures, including segmentation and access controls.
• Create monitoring dashboards and reports using SolarWinds.
• Deploy patches and updates to routers, switches, and firewalls.

Required Skills

• 5 to 7 years of hands-on experience with Layer 2/3 routing protocols and troubleshooting.
• Experience deploying and managing routers and switches.
• Proficiency with Private, Public, and Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure, specifically AWS and Azure.
• 5 to 7 years of experience with Unix (RedHat), Windows, and VMware.
• Knowledge of NIST industry best practices and regulatory standards.
• Experience with network security, segmentation, and access controls.

Preferred Skills

• Ability to manage network infrastructure documentation and change control processes.
• Experience with forensic analysis and evidence preservation regarding cybersecurity events.
