You will own the comprehensive review and standardization of the County’s IP addressing environment.
This role is remote.
Responsibilities
Review and document the IP addressing environment, including IPv4/IPv6 subnets, VLANs, and address allocations for routers, switches, firewalls, servers, and printers.
Analyze DHCP, DNS, and IP Address Management (IPAM) configurations to ensure alignment with standards.
Produce clear documentation of the IP schema, detailing inventory by site, VLAN, and subnet.
Recommend and establish standard IP addressing and naming conventions, proposing best practices for allocation.
Required Skills
Minimum 5 years of experience in enterprise network design and IP address management.
Expertise with TCP/IP, VLANs, subnetting, and routing protocols.
Proficiency with DHCP and DNS configuration and analysis.
Experience creating logical and physical network diagrams using Visio or equivalent tools.
Strong technical writing and documentation skills for network assets and assignments.
Preferred Skills
Experience with dedicated IP Address Management tools.
