Description

We are looking for an experienced Network Security Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Palo Alto and Check Point firewalls, GlobalProtect VPN, enterprise networking, and NIST security standards. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, securing, implementing, and supporting enterprise network infrastructure while resolving complex network and security issues.

Key Responsibilities

Configure and administer Palo Alto and Check Point firewalls, including security policies, access rules, deployments, and rule migrations.

Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot GlobalProtect VPN and secure remote connectivity.

Design and support LAN/WAN, routing and switching, wireless networks, cloud connectivity, and data center infrastructure.

Develop secure network architectures, VLANs, segmentation strategies, and access controls.

Monitor network traffic, security logs, alerts, availability, and performance.

Troubleshoot complex network and security incidents using packet analysis, monitoring tools, and root-cause analysis.

Conduct security risk assessments, identify vulnerabilities, and coordinate remediation efforts.

Develop and maintain NIST-aligned security policies, standards, and operational procedures.

Maintain network diagrams, IP addressing plans, VLAN documentation, firewall rules, and access-control documentation.

Collaborate with cybersecurity, cloud, application, database, and infrastructure teams.

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior network and security professionals.

Required Qualifications

5–10 years of experience in network engineering, IT infrastructure, and/or information security.

3–5 years of experience working with information security tools and NIST-based security standards.

Strong hands-on experience with Palo Alto and/or Check Point next-generation firewalls.

Experience administering and troubleshooting GlobalProtect VPN.

Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, routing and switching, VLANs, VPNs, network segmentation, and access controls.

Experience with security monitoring, incident response, vulnerability management, and network troubleshooting.

Knowledge of cloud networking and network security controls.

Strong troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, documentation, and communication skills.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications

PCNSE, CCNP, CCIE, and/or CISSP certification.

Experience supporting large-scale enterprise network environments.

Experience conducting technical assessments and proof-of-concept initiatives
