Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure including LAN, WAN, WLAN, and SD-WAN architectures, ensuring high availability and scalability.
  • Configure and manage routing and switching protocols such as BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLANs, STP, and VTP across complex network environments.
  • Implement and manage network security solutions including firewalls (Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, Fortinet), IDS/IPS systems, VPNs (IPSec, SSL VPN), and network access control (NAC).
  • Design and support cloud networking solutions across AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform, including VPC, VNet, subnets, load balancers, and hybrid connectivity (VPN/ExpressRoute/Direct Connect).
  • Monitor and troubleshoot network performance, latency, packet loss, and bandwidth utilization using tools such as SolarWinds, Nagios, Wireshark, and PRTG.
  • Implement and maintain network monitoring and alerting systems to ensure proactive detection of issues and minimize downtime.
  • Perform network capacity planning, performance tuning, and optimization to ensure efficient resource utilization and system reliability.
  • Configure and manage DNS, DHCP, IP addressing schemes, and network services, ensuring proper network functionality and resolution.
  • Implement high availability and disaster recovery (HA/DR) solutions including failover, redundancy, load balancing, and backup strategies.
  • Automate network configuration and management using scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash, improving operational efficiency.
  • Implement and enforce network security policies, standards, and compliance frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS benchmarks.
  • Collaborate with security teams, DevOps teams, and system administrators to ensure secure and optimized network operations.
  • Manage and maintain network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, wireless controllers, and load balancers from vendors like Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, and Palo Alto.
  • Support data center and enterprise network environments, including rack-and-stack, cabling, and hardware lifecycle management.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and documentation while contributing to network architecture design and best practices.
