Description

You will manage the field deployment, configuration, and migration of network equipment across multiple New York City locations.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Execute field deployments and basic configurations for remote access on new network hardware.
• Perform onsite migrations of network links from legacy devices to new equipment.
• Coordinate cutover scheduling and agency notifications using ServiceNow.
• Update asset management in ServiceNow to onboard new devices and decommission legacy hardware.
• Complete Cisco configuration templates for router and switch deployments and conduct SNMP, syslog, NTP, and NetFlow testing.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of experience in the networking field.
• Hands-on experience with BGP, MPLS, and OSPF routing protocols in large-scale environments.
• Proficiency with Cisco networking hardware and technologies.
• Experience with EIGRP, iBGP, and eBGP.
• Ability to perform technical coordination and task follow-up within a team structure.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Cisco NCS routers and IOS-XR software.
• Experience designing network architectural designs in MS Visio.
• Familiarity with City of New York network infrastructure environments and processes.
