Description

You will design, develop, and maintain scalable distributed applications on AWS. You own the full software development life cycle, from architecture to post-release defect resolution.

Responsibilities

• Design and build mid-tier and backend APIs using Node.js and REST/SOAP services.
• Lead technical efforts by mentoring junior engineers and solving complex design problems.
• Contribute to project architecture and technical specifications for new features.
• Resolve defects and bugs during QA, pre-production, and post-release phases.
• Execute technical solution design within established architectures to deliver complex features.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in software application development.
• 5+ years of experience building mid-tier and backend APIs using Node.js.
• 5+ years of experience with software design and architecture processes.
• 5+ years of experience with REST or SOAP web services.
• Hands-on experience with AWS or equivalent cloud services.
• Strong understanding of the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience with unit testing and Test Driven Development (TDD).
• Proficiency with Agile, SCRUM, or Extreme Programming methodologies.
• Ability to explain complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred Skills

• Experience developing large-scale, consumer-facing web or mobile applications.
• Background in social, mobile, cloud/SaaS, big data, or analytics.
