Description

Design and maintain APIs that power React.js front ends.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build RESTful/GraphQL APIs using Node.js, Express, or Koa.
• Design and optimize SQL/NoSQL database schemas and data-access layers.
• Collaborate with React developers to define data contracts and handle server-side rendering.
• Implement authentication and authorization using JWT or OAuth.
• Lead code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and establish coding standards.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of backend development experience with Node.js and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Proficiency in RESTful and GraphQL API design.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis.
• Integration experience with React.js and SSR frameworks like Next.js.
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with AWS, GCP, or Azure and serverless architectures.
• Strong understanding of security best practices and authentication mechanisms.

Preferred Skills

• Prior experience with microservices or event-driven architectures.
• Experience with message brokers like RabbitMQ or Kafka and WebSockets.
