Description

You will design, implement, and optimize enterprise observability solutions using Elastic Cloud and OpenTelemetry.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Analyze current Elastic cloud deployments, document gaps, and recommend improvements for application monitoring.
• Migrate monitoring from legacy platforms (Dynatrace, Splunk, Prometheus) to modern solutions like Elastic and Dynatrace.
• Design end-to-end observability architectures covering infrastructure, applications, logs, traces, metrics, and user experience.
• Build custom extensions, automated workflows, and synthetic monitoring using Python and JavaScript.
• Integrate observability platforms with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins) to automate alerting and incident management.

Required Skills

• 9+ years of experience in Application Performance Monitoring (APM) and Observability Engineering.
• Strong expertise in deploying observability using the OpenTelemetry framework.
• Deep knowledge of onboarding applications into Elastic Search.
• Experience with distributed tracing, log analytics, infrastructure monitoring, and Real User Monitoring (RUM).
• Hands-on implementation of observability for container-based applications on AWS.
• Proficiency in Python and JavaScript for automation and custom extensions.
• Experience integrating monitoring platforms with Jenkins and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of SRE principles, cloud-native practices, and observability cost/license optimization.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of anomaly detection, OpenPipeline configuration, and Business Events.
• Experience with AI-driven analytics and automated incident management.
