Description

You will lead the architectural design, implementation, and migration of enterprise monitoring systems from Dynatrace to New Relic.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Architect and execute the migration of application, infrastructure, and user experience monitoring from Dynatrace to New Relic.
• Implement New Relic agents across diverse language tech stacks, specifically focusing on Java and Spring Boot.
• Configure and manage Real User Monitoring (RUM), Mobile RUM, and synthetic monitoring to ensure performance validation.
• Troubleshoot JVM-related issues and perform performance tuning to maintain system stability.
• Collaborate with development, operations, and SRE teams to ensure observability continuity during the transition.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of professional experience in observability and monitoring.
• Deep expertise in both Dynatrace and New Relic platforms.
• Strong experience with Synthetic Monitoring, specifically using Catchpoint.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and AWS or Azure cloud environments.
• Proficiency in OpenTelemetry (OTel) and dashboard creation within New Relic.
• Technical knowledge of Java and Spring Boot for agent implementation.
• Advanced JVM troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.
• Experience with scripting and automation using Python and JavaScript.
• Familiarity with Kafka, RabbitMQ, and Grafana.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with ServiceNow event management.
